Hello my name is Christian and I'm going to talk about Newcastle United. I choose this topic because it is my favorite team in England. My interest in this team was started approximately 5 years ago, when Alan Shearer and others football players that I liked played these. Im going to talk about its recent history, Saint James Parks its stadium and its trophies. RECENT HISTORY The team was founded in 1892 after de union of two local clubs, Newcastle East and Newcastle West end. Newcastle United Football Club (also known as The Magpies and the toons) is an English football club, this team wear Black and white but the second t-shirts are yellow. In the last year this team was relegated of the premier league for playing in coca-cola championship, this league is the best second league in England, because they finished on seventeenth position. Last year was the worst year in this club, because they were relegated another league, and a famous persons connected whit his team, Sir Bobby Robson died, He was the coach of Newcastle since 2000 and 2004 he was his last team of his coached. But he didn't play in Newcastle only trained, them the best team where he trained was F.C Barcelona in 1996-97. STADIUM Saint James Park is the stadium of Newcastle United; this stadium is situated in the center of Newcastle. This stadium has suffered three restructurings, the first in 1993 to increase the maximum capacity. The second restructuring was in 1998 for the same rason as the first time. And finally the third and last restructuring was in 2007 to improve the VIP seats. And today this stadium can hold 52.000 persons.
